In the first quarter of 2021, Latin American fans of pinball and brick breaker games on Android had clear favorites, according to Sensor Tower data. The top five games in this category exhibited varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
PoseidonGames' Bricks Ball Crusher started strong with over 100K downloads in the last week of December but saw a gradual decline to around 67K in early February. However, the game bounced back, reaching approximately 141K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 692K, dipping to around 650K, and then climbing to roughly 910K. Revenue showed a slight decrease from $3.8K to $3.1K before spiking to nearly $3.8K in the final week of March.
mobirix's Bricks Breaker Quest experienced a decrease in downloads from 106K to around 67K by the end of March. The weekly active users saw a slight drop from 1.5M to 1.4M. Revenue figures, while modest, fluctuated from $446 to around $461 in the same period.
The newcomer Breaker Fun - Rescue Adventure from Amazbit, released in September 2020, had a remarkable increase in downloads, from approximately 61K to over 113K by March's end. Weekly active users also saw a significant rise from 78K to 173K. Revenue, though starting at a low $46, surged to $211 in the last recorded week.
For Bricks Breaker - Glow Balls by Big Cat Studio, downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from about 9.5K to 18K. The number of weekly active users showed a steady increase from 28K to 42K. The revenue for this game was negligible, with no revenue reported in several weeks.
Lastly, VOODOO's Snake VS Block saw a mixed trend in downloads, starting at roughly 11K, dipping to 8K, and then spiking to 24.5K in mid-March before settling back down to 10K. Weekly active users hovered around the 200K mark for most of the quarter but experienced a peak of 211K in the week of March 15.
